'Seeing Soil'

'Seeing Soil'

Here is a piece for you, to connect with the forest – notice what happens throughout and the experience you may have when connecting to the earth. If you can be in a forest while reading this – even better, if not… just imagine you are there instead.

The feeling of being home

You know that one?

Peace at last,

I remember this.

Held

Understood

Mmmm

Sometimes it’s hard to put into words

The essence not felt in a verse

I’ll try.

Gently, take a look at the ground

What have you found?

A whole world

Worlds in fact.

Teeny tiny, meeny miny… friends

Working together

Alive

Experiencing cycles

A life.

Life under our feet

What goes on down there, underneath?

How far does it go?

How much do we not know?

What’s beneath?

What can’t we see?

Such mystery, nourishment

In all ways of the word

Nourish

No rush

Nature doesn’t do that.

It rebuilds, gently

With much diversity

Wow

Can you imagine living in tune,

Natural flow

Notice in May, everything is slow.

Foundations are set

Not much has grown yet

It’s being repaired

Prepared

Regenerating

And, we’re patiently waiting

While – everything looks like a painting

So perfectly organised

Nothing out of place

Exactly where it’s meant to be

Ready to face, summer.

The end of a chapter, into the new.

Constantly, smoothly, changing, with grace.

I invite you to let these words sink in.

Let them sink.

Feel them rooting, within.

Now, know that everything you’ve just read

Is about you, too

As you too, are nature

We are.

I’d like you to close your eyes and breathe deeply for 3 breaths.

.

.

.

Remember who you are.

Connect back to origin.
