  2. Natalia Artiukhova verified buyer

Assolutamente straordinario, avete trovato quello che non hanno trovato presso i centri di procreazione assistita dove avevo fatto i diversi pap-test.
    Siete sicuramenti i migliori.
    Bravissimi

I’m a medical herbalist and I specialise in helping women of all ages with long-term or stubborn vaginal health issues or imbalances. Basically anything that causes itching, irritation, discharge or dryness. Invivo’s Vaginal EcologiX test is perfect when we need a snapshot to tell us exactly what is going with someone’s intimate microbiome – this then informs so much! We use it when symptoms are confusing and we are not getting a clear picture of what is going on, or when we have have used therapeutics targeted for what appears to be going on, but we are not getting the results we wanted – this test allows me to use a highly targeted approach with confidence, as it gets to the heart of the matter, and my patients to get comfortable, quicker! Because that’s always a first priority, am I right?! Invivo’s support functions are also amazing and knowing that there is such a knowledgable team there if I need them is so reassuring. Thank you Invivo – from me, and my patients too. Outstanding stuff.

As a registered nutritional therapist specialised in fertility, this test has become a prerequisite for most of the female clients in the couples I work with. This has enabled us to identify important pieces of their fertility puzzle time and time again. The results often provide a plan of action and/or peace of mind when embarking on a round of fertility treatment or a new frozen embryo transfer. It’s now become a fixed part of my nutrition programs and have included it my testing packages, so can’t see myself ever stopping using it in my practice.

  5. Rachel Sherriff verified healthcare provider

Using the Vaginal Microbiome test within my practice has enabled me to offer more ways to support my clients on their path to parenthood. When dysbiosis is identified and addressed it has increased pregnancy rates and reduced recurrent miscarriage rates within my patient cohort. It can be particularly helpful in patients who have been told their fertility issues are ‘unexplained’. The support call function has also been invaluable and the expertise of the Invivo staff is fantastic.

FAQs

What do vaginal swabs test for?

Vaginal swabs are used to test for various vaginal infections and imbalances within the vaginal microbiome. This includes identifying the presence of bacterial vaginosis (BV) caused by bacteria like Gardnerella vaginalis, yeast infections such as Candida albicans, and other factors that affect a healthy vagina.

These swabs are wellbeing devices that help to inform women of issues related to their symptoms such as itching, odour, and unusual discharge. Our vaginal swabs help women make decisions about their health by offering insight into the levels of good bacteria versus harmful bacteria.

How do they test for BV in the UK?

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is usually tested through a vaginal swab and a vaginal pH test in the UK. The swab will collect vaginal fluid and analyse it for signs of BV, such as a high pH, unusual vaginal discharge, or an imbalance of good bacteria and other microorganisms in the vaginal microbiome. This sample is then sent to a lab, where tests are done to identify anything that may need attention.

It’s important to remember that results guide the best treatment options to maintain your health. If you have any questions about our testing kits, visit our Help Centre for testing FAQs.

Does BV show up in a urine test?

No, bacterial vaginosis (BV) does not show up in a urine test. BV is an imbalance of the vaginal microbiome and can be detected through vaginal swab tests like the Vaginal EcologiX™. It’s important to use a vaginal swab, as it directly assesses vaginal pH and identifies bacteria directly from vaginal fluid. While a urine test can screen for urinary tract infections or other conditions, it won’t be effective for vaginal health issues. For accurate BV diagnosis, opt for a swab test.

How can the test help identify a bacterial infection?

The test identifies bacterial infection by analysing vaginal fluid samples to detect the presence or absence of harmful bacteria. A normal result indicates no bacterial infection, while an abnormal result confirms one. Understanding and diagnosing vaginal infection and vaginal infections is important for women‘s intimate health and confidence. Our tests provide reliable results, promoting proper treatment and care.

How does the test use vaginal fluid samples?

There are 2 collection devices in our collection, one for pH and one swab that’s sent to the lab for further testing. Our pH swab can be assessed at home by our clients. The test uses vaginal fluid samples to assess imbalance in vaginal bacteria. Collecting these samples is essential for accurate results.
