1. The Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT), real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) pathogen panel and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) gastrointestinal host markers used in the MetaXplore range are diagnostic and are approved for clinical use.
2. The faeces pH assay used in the MetaXplore range is for research use only and not to be used as a basis for diagnosis. The metagenomic assays used in the MetaXplore range are to determine the microbiome populations and associated functional pathways in a faecal sample. The application is for research use only and not to be used as a basis for diagnosis.
The MetaXplore range is intended for adults 18 years or older only. We are unable to offer interpretation support if used in children.
3. Can report on over 28,000 species although a typical healthy sample will contain between 110 – 244 species.
