Why is the Peezy device necessary for the Urinary EcologiX test?
To ensure we get a representative sample of the urinary microbiome, it is necessary to collect mid-stream urine. This reduces contamination from the lower urethra and skin and ensures the results we provide are more accurate. We have trialled several devices, however the Peezy was the best option and did not require extra plastic to be used when processing samples in the laboratory, as with other devices.
