Why We’re Making This Change
This decision has not been made lightly. Our retired tests have supported thousands of practitioners, and we’re incredibly grateful for the trust you’ve placed in them. However, as the science of the microbiome continues to evolve, it’s vital that our tools keep pace:
Scientific integrity: The technology and methodologies behind some of these tests are no longer at the forefront of clinical accuracy.
Future-ready tools: We’re refining our range to prioritise testing that offers deeper insight, improved specificity, and stronger clinical relevance
FAQ’s
GI EcologiX: Yes — we recommend transitioning to MetaXplore GI Plus, which offers deeper insight through next-generation sequencing.
Vaginal, Oral, and Urinary EcologiX: There are currently no direct replacements for these tests. We recognise their clinical value and are exploring future developments in these areas.
