Microbiome Guardian Meetups Summer Tour 2025

As practitioners, we are on the front line of managing complex, chronic conditions, many of which are increasingly linked to gastrointestinal dysfunction and, in particular, increased intestinal permeability.

Traditionally, our understanding of intestinal permeability has been guided by stool zonulin. However, zonulin is not the only marker we can use to identify intestinal permeability in clinical practice.

With the advent of advanced metagenomic sequencing tests such as MetaXplore GI Plus, we now have the ability to explore the entire gut microbial ecosystem and its functional potential. From this, we can identify drivers, mediators, and consequences of intestinal barrier dysfunction in a much more precise way.

In this interactive, clinically focused workshop, Dr Brad Leech and the Invivo team will guide you through: Beyond Zonulin: Functional Markers of Barrier Dysfunction.

In this series of Microbiome Guardian Meetups, we’ll cover: how novel markers such as Hexa-LPS, butyrate, hydrogen sulphide, sIgA, indolepropionic acid can provide a more accurate picture of mucosal health and barrier integrity; the root causes of intestinal permeability; evidence-based strategies for intervention; and common clinical pitfalls and myths to avoid.

As always with our Microbiome Guardian Meet-ups, there will also be plenty of opportunity to socialise and network with fellow practitioners in your area and the Invivo team. Please note this event is only for qualified practitioners.

Tickets

To purchase tickets, please expand the Event Details above and click ‘Find out more’. Tickets to the Microbiome Guardian Meetup events are £15 (ex. booking fee) per event with 100% of the ticket sales going to one of Invivo’s chosen charities.

Places are limited, so please ensure you notify us if your plans change and you become unable to attend (we understand things come up), so we can give your space to another microbiome guardian on the waiting list. For those attending in person, a £10 coupon will be made available after the event, redeemable off any supplement(s) order within 1 week of the event.

Please note this event is only for qualified practitioners.
